CLC Striders
Boxing Day Challenge 26 December 2009
Seven Striders braved the post Christmas run on Boxing Day around the famous Cheltenham racecourse. There were 2 races over 4 and 2 mile courses
In the very hilly 4-mile race (2 laps of the racecourse), Lee "the power house" Burge showed his great strength and led the Striders home in 25:25, closely followed by Billy Bradshaw in 26:08. Richard Mann and Richard Cannock were home next. Amelia finished the course in fine style, as the first woman home for the Striders.
In the equally hilly 2-mile race, Lesley Stuart showed her consistent performance and easily broke her sub-20mins standard (19:36), followed home a few minutes later by Carmen and Phil Jowett
